Hi. Introductions are not my strong point. Neither are conclusions. I prefer to just jump right in. After you, if you please...
It is summer. Hooray! Lots of sun, swimming, relaxation, and NO SCHOOL! What more could a teenage girl want? Well, a normal teenage girl. One thing it is imperative to know about me is that I am not "normal," whatever that even means.
I do rather enjoy getting to sleep in till 8:30, instead of waking at 7:00. And I kind of like being able to lounge around all day and read, watch TV, etcetera. But I kind of miss school. I kind of liked seeing my friends every day. I kind of liked getting into yelling matches at lunch (don't worry, we always agreed!). I even kind of liked my classes. Most of them, anyway.
When I am at school, I feel like I have a purpose. I have a strict schedule, deadlines, assignments. During the summer, I just... float. I'm not really doing much of anything. Maybe one or two days a week I'll do something productive. But mostly those "precious" days off are wasted. In my opinion, anyway.
Now that the countdown to the Harry Potter movie is pretty much over (one more day!!!), I'm starting a new countdown: First semester of the 2009-2010 school year.
